Your organization

A React Box workspace belongs to an organization: its identity, members, roles, subscription and storage are all configured in one place.

What an organization is

Everything in React Box belongs to an organization — never to a user.

  • Documents, invoices, third parties, bank accounts and conversations live inside an organization. Switching organization switches all the content on screen.
  • Its type — company or accounting firm — is chosen at creation and determines which modules are available.
  • People get in through a named invitation, with a role that decides what they can do.
  • One user account can belong to several organizations and switch between them from the sidebar.

Who sets what

Organization settings are reserved for administrators. Members get the day-to-day work — documents, invoices, conversations — but see neither the member list, nor the roles, nor the subscription. Everyone, however, keeps control of their own user account.

Note

A few things are deliberately frozen after creation: the workspace type and the country, because they determine the tax regime and the shape of the product.

The settings

Six pages cover the whole set of organization settings.
