Sharing a document
Attach a document to your message and Atlas reads it. It is filed in the vault first — you will find it again later, even once the conversation is gone.

Three ways to attach

From the vault
Pick a document already filed. Nothing is duplicated: Atlas reads it where it lives.
From your device
An imported file lands in the "Other documents" folder first, then is referenced in the message.
By scanning
On mobile, photograph the document: it is saved as an image, filed, then attached.
Note
Atlas only ever reads the vault. That is what guarantees a document you showed it stays findable, and subject to the same rights as the rest of your files.
What is accepted
- Five documents per message at most.
- 20 MB per file, as everywhere else in React Box.
- Images: a photo, a scan or a screenshot. Atlas reads what the model can open, and any other format is refused at attach time rather than quietly ignored.
- An attachment stays bound to its message: Atlas keeps it in mind for the following questions in the same thread.
How Atlas reads the document
Depending on the active model, an attachment is passed through as-is or replaced by its description.
- When the model can read files, it sees the real layout — no analysis page is billed.
- A format the active model cannot open is refused as you attach it, with the reason — never accepted and then passed over in silence.
- To extract amounts from a supplier invoice, the dedicated analysis remains the right tool: it is built for it, and Atlas can re-run it with your approval.
Privacy
- You can only attach documents you already have access to.
- The document and the file are checked together server-side: a file cannot be reached through another document.
- The chips under a message open the preview: you see exactly what Atlas received.
- The conversation disappears after thirty days; the document stays in the vault.
