Every question opens a thread. It has its own link, survives a reload, and disappears after thirty days.

Opening a conversation

Three ways in, one assistant.

From the sidebar
On the web, the Atlas entry opens your latest conversation or a blank thread. On mobile it sits in the home quick actions.

From the dashboard
The composer on the dashboard starts a conversation with your first question — no need to go through the chat screen first.

Ask your question
The thread is created on the first message and takes its title from that question. You can rename it at any time.

A reply builds in front of you, and the thread tells you what is happening.

The text arrives as it is written. You can move to another screen — the reply carries on and you find it complete.
A folded line lists the sources consulted between two sentences. Unfold it to see what Atlas went to look up.
The stop button interrupts the reply in progress. Whatever was already written is kept.
In the conversation list, a dot marks the threads still replying.

Tip

An interrupted or failed reply can be relaunched: the "Try again" button resends your last question.

A conversation's menu — the "…" button on the web, a long press on mobile — offers two actions.

Rename: the automatic title comes from your first question, which is not always the one you would keep.
Archive: the conversation leaves the list. Any draft Atlas prepared stays.

A conversation belongs to the person who opened it. Nobody else sees it, not even an organization administrator.
On the firm side, a thread belongs to the client selected when it was opened. Switching client switches list.
Conversations are deleted automatically thirty days after the last message. An active thread is never cut mid-way.
Deleting the thread takes nothing Atlas produced with it: the drafts it created stay in your organization.
