The firm workspace

The firm workspace

An accounting firm does not manage its own documents: it manages client files. Here is how React Box is organised on that side.

What differs from a company

The firm is a workplace, not one more vault.

  • A firm has no vault of its own: it works inside each client's vault, never in an intermediate space.
  • The whole navigation is driven by an active client. Pick a file in the sidebar and the sections — vault, third parties, cash, accounting — switch to its data.
  • Staff are members of the firm, not of the client organizations: their access follows the connection, not a per-file invitation.
  • Every action stays attributed to its author inside the client's file: that is what makes the firm's work legible to the company.

The life of a file

From creation to day-to-day production.

  1. 1

    Create or receive the file

You create the file yourself, or a company already on React Box sends you a connection request.

  2. 2

    Prepare the structure

Vault folders and chart of accounts can be laid out before the client even arrives, from your file template.

  3. 3

    Invite the client

People at the company receive an invitation to join their file and start uploading their records.

  4. 4

    Follow up and produce

Document requests, messaging and audit indicators tell you where each file stands.

The firm pages

Four pages cover the running of a portfolio.
