Notifications

You decide what deserves to interrupt you. Every kind of event is set independently, channel by channel.

Three channels

They combine freely for each kind of notification.

  • Web

The notification lands in the app's notification centre, with a dot on the bell. This is the channel that keeps the fullest record.

  • Email

A message to your account address. Useful for what has to reach you even when React Box is closed.

  • Mobile

A push notification on your phone. Save it for what cannot wait.

What you can tune

Event types are grouped by area.

  • Documents — creation, sharing, status changes, a share link being opened.
  • Document requests — received, fulfilled, reminded.
  • Messaging — new message, mention, being added to a conversation.
  • Invoicing — notably a reminder being sent to a customer.
  • Analytics — the exchange rate alerts you configured.
  • Atlas — credit running low, credit exhausted.
  • Accounting firm — invitations received, accepted, declined, connection removed.
  • Assignments — when a client file is handed to you or taken from you.

Personal preferences

These settings follow your account, not your organization. Two colleagues at the same company can therefore be notified very differently about the same event. Conversely, switching organization does not reset your preferences.

Note

A notification you turned off is not lost: the event stays visible in the app, in the place it concerns.

A setup that holds

The combination that works best is to leave the web channel on for everything — it bothers nobody — then reserve email for what requires an action from you, and mobile for what is genuinely urgent. An inbox flooded with notifications ends up hiding the one that mattered.
