The firm workspace

Inviting companies

Three ways to connect a company to your firm, depending on whether it is already on React Box or discovering it with you.

The three paths

The outcome is the same: a connection accepted on both sides.

  • Invite by email — you enter the address of an administrator at the company, who receives an invitation to connect their file to your firm.
  • By code — you share your firm's code; the company enters it in its settings and sends you a request.
  • By creating the file — you build the file yourself, then invite the people who need access. The connection exists from the outset.

Note

A code grants no access on its own: it allows a request to be sent, which must then be accepted.

Tracking invitations

Invitations you sent stay visible with their send and expiry dates until they are accepted. You can resend one — handy when the email got lost — or cancel it, which makes the link useless straight away.

Note

An expired invitation can no longer be accepted: send a fresh one rather than trying to revive the old one.

Requests you receive

When a company sends you a connection request, it shows up in your workspace, possibly with a message. You either accept it or let it expire. Accepting creates the file in your portfolio and applies your file template.

Inviting the people in a file

Once the file exists, access for the company's people is managed from its record. Each invitation covers that file only: inviting someone at one client opens nothing at another.

Tip

Your own staff do not need to be invited into a client file: their access comes from belonging to the firm.
