# Your bank accounts

Treasury gathers your organization's bank accounts — yours, not your third parties'. This section explains how to register them, set a default account, and link them to the rest of your management.

## What treasury is for

A clear directory of your accounts, reusable wherever a collection account is needed.

* Centralize your company's bank accounts in one place.
* Link an account to your invoices and your chart of accounts, without re-entering it.
* Set a default account to speed up day-to-day entry.

## Your organization's accounts

Each treasury account belongs to your organization. You record its full details — holder, bank, IBAN, SWIFT, RIB — along with the cards attached to it. These accounts act as a reference when you need to state where you are paid or which account you pay from.

Note

Treasury accounts are distinct from a third party's bank details: the latter describe your customers' and suppliers' accounts, in the Third parties section.

## Anatomy of a bank account

A treasury account brings together its identity, its details and its availability.

* Identity  
A short label and the holder's name to recognize the account at a glance.
* Bank details  
Bank, IBAN, SWIFT / BIC, intermediary SWIFT and RIB, for local and international transfers.
* Attached cards  
The last four digits of the cards tied to the account, to identify them safely.
* Availability  
Active or closed account, display order and default-account status.

## Register an account

Three steps for a ready-to-use account.

1. Open Treasury and click “New”  
Give it a clear label and enter the account holder.
2. Enter the bank details  
Fill in the bank, the IBAN and, if needed, the SWIFT and the RIB.
3. Mark it as default if needed  
The first account you register is often the default — you can change it at any time.
