# Addresses

A third party can have several addresses: a headquarters, a billing address, delivery points. You manage them all from the record, and set the one that serves as default.

## Several addresses, one third party

Beyond the main address on the record, you can add as many addresses as needed. Each is typed to indicate its use, which keeps you from sending an invoice to a warehouse or a delivery to the head office.

## Address types

The type qualifies the use of each address.

* Billing  
The address shown on invoices issued to the third party.
* Shipping  
Where goods or services are delivered. This is the default type.
* Headquarters  
The address of the third party's registered office.
* Other  
Any address that does not fit the categories above.

## Default address

An address can be marked as the third party's default. It is the one offered first whenever an address is required and none has been specified.

Note

Each address holds its structured fields (line 1, line 2, city, region, postal code, country) so it stays cleanly reusable on your documents.
