# Organization identity

The name shown everywhere, the default language, the workspace type and the logo. A handful of settings, two of which are permanent.

## The settings

They live in settings, under the General tab.

* Name — the one that appears in the organization switcher, in notifications and to your accounting firm. Editable at any time.
* Default language — the language of the emails React Box sends on the organization's behalf. Each user still keeps their own interface language.
* Workspace type — company or accounting firm. Set at creation, locked afterwards.
* Logo — a square image shown in the sidebar and in the organization switcher.

## Two logos, two purposes

The organization logo is for inside the app: it helps you recognise which workspace you are working in, especially when you manage several. Invoices use a separate logo, set in the invoicing settings, because a logo printed on a legal document answers to different format and proportion constraints.

Note

If no invoice logo is set, the organization logo takes over on issued documents.

## What cannot be changed

Two choices commit the rest and cannot be reversed from the interface.

* The workspace type — turning a company into an accounting firm is not possible: the two share neither the same data model, nor the same vault, nor the same modules.
* The country — it determines the tax regime, therefore the identifiers required and the wording printed on your invoices.

Warning

If either of these was mis-entered at creation, get in touch: we fix it on our side rather than through a workaround.

## Legal and tax identity

The legal name, the registered address and the tax identifiers — ICE, tax identifier, professional tax, trade register — are not mere preferences: they are printed on every invoice you issue. They are therefore configured alongside invoicing, where a live preview shows exactly what will appear on the document.

Note

On some organizations these identifiers are managed by the platform and shown read-only. A correction then goes through our team.
