# Notifications and widgets

The phone is the one screen you always carry. All the more reason for it to show only what earns the place.

## Push notifications

The mobile channel is configured exactly like the others, from your account's notification preferences: one event type at a time. What you enable on mobile affects neither the web notification centre nor your emails — the three channels are independent.

Note

The system asks for permission to send notifications on first launch. If you declined, you can restore it from your phone's settings.

## What deserves a mobile notification

A selection that works for most people.

* Messages and mentions — this is what is waiting on an answer.
* Document requests received — especially on the company side, where they gate the firm's work.
* Exchange rate alerts — the decision to convert a currency is rarely made in front of a computer.
* Purchase-invoice status changes — correction requested or rejected, so you can pick the record back up before the file falls behind.

Tip

Leave out what can be read cold: a document being created, a record being shared or an invitation being accepted all sit perfectly well inside the app.

## iOS widgets

Two widgets to place on the home screen.

* Pending documents  
The number of records awaiting attention for the active organization. One glance tells you whether there is work.
* Exchange rates  
The latest Bank Al-Maghrib rates, for the currency of your choice, configurable straight from the widget.

Note

Widgets follow the active organization in the app: switching organization changes what they show. While nobody is signed in, they simply invite you to open React Box.

## Live updates inside the app

Independently of system notifications, the app updates itself while open: a message arriving, a status changing, an analysis progressing. You never have to pull to refresh.
