# The mobile app

React Box on iPhone and Android is not a trimmed-down web app: it is the same product, with the phone's gestures on top.

## The same app, not a companion

What you do at the desk, you do again from the phone.

* Vault, messaging, document requests, third parties, purchases, invoicing, bank accounts, chart of accounts, accounting and analytics: it is all there.
* The same data, live: a document uploaded from the phone shows up on the web straight away, and the other way round.
* The same roles and the same permissions: mobile opens nothing your role does not already grant you.
* The same organization switching: your companies and client files are in the switcher, just like on the web.

Note

One deliberate exception: the fine-grained invoicing setup — issuer identity, numbering, PDF theme — stays on the web, where a live preview makes sense. The invoices themselves are created and issued from mobile.

## What mobile does better

Three uses where the phone beats the computer.

* Scanning on the spot  
Photographing an invoice or a receipt the moment you get it is still the best way not to lose it. The analysis starts right away, as on the web.
* Being alerted  
Push notifications for what genuinely matters: a message, a document request, an exchange rate alert.
* Glancing  
iOS widgets show the number of pending documents or the latest exchange rate right on the home screen.
